About Us

Nuttall Equestrian is based at Vale Farm in Somerset. We are a professional Showjumping yard, with horses ranging from young to experienced 5* Grand Prix horses. Harriet Biddick is the main Competition Rider.  Rupert Nuttall owns and runs the business along side Harriet  and a loyal team. Harriet is married to Will Biddick who has been National Champion point to point rider for several years and he also runs a very successful breaking and pretraining business. Will is part of the set up of Nuttall Equestrian and does a lot of breaking of the young horses at Nuttall equestrian to give them a wide education for their career.

Harriet helps produce the young horses and competes at International and National level showjumping. Harriet was National Champion in the season of 2019/2020. A Touch Imperious is one of our most successful horses we have produced, he has been on 5* Nations Cup teams for Great Britain. In 2018 this included a clear and 4 penalties at Falsterbo, 3rd in the 5* GP St Gallen and competing in the Nation Cup Final at Barcelona. Also being none traveling reserve for the World Equestrian Games. Harriet and a Touch Imperious have an incredible record jumping the Hickstead Derby having been runner up 4 times!! Still waiting for the BIG win!!! Galway Bay Jed is also a horse we have produced since a youngster has competed at 5* level in the Nations Cup, Dublin 2017. He also won the Queen Elizabeth cup II at Hickstead in 2017. He was 2nd in the 4* Grand Prix at Liverpool horse show in 2018. Winner of the opening 1 50m class at Horses of the year show 2019.

Harriet has attracted some very supportive sponsors - Equine Products UK Ltd, Red Mills horse feed, Voltaire saddles, Botantica International, Streamz, Manfredi,  Equiclass and Cowsfeet along with help from Fosseway Fodder and  Williams and Williams Arenas.

Over the years, Rupert has bought young horses in Ireland and we produce them further ready to sell as Eventers/showjumpers/hunters.  Most of the horses Harriet competes have come from Ireland as young horses.

Vale Farm is a five hundred acre arable and livestock farm set in the heart of the Sparkford Vale, one and half miles from the A303 which enables easy access to all parts of the country.  The farm is an award-winning farm for conservation and we are very proud of the woodland, ponds and wide headlands around the fields.  Hence our horses have a wonderful setting to exercise, work and relax.
